Multi-Storey Office Block for Kenya Kenya National Assembly
QUANTECH CONSULTANCY participated in a tender for detailed design and construction supervision of the proposed office block.  Our consortium having emerged winners, were awarded the works in February 2009.
The consortium has now had approval for a block comprising:
10,000sqm of basements parking, 6000sqm podiums for modern conference facilities, 21,000sqm for MPs offices, 2,600sqm of health club and 1300sqm of swimming pool and restaurants and interior fit-out to all floors.
The works have been tendered,  at an estimated cost of Kshs. 5,500,000,000/=


Kenya National Assembly


Headquarters building at Nairobi Terminal
This is a 13,000 square metre 8-floors office located at industrial area.  The project commenced in 2000 and due to contractual disputes, was stopped.  QUANTECH CONSULATANCY were appointed to undertake a forensic audit, produced a report which was adopted by the board of directors.  We were then appointed project managers to oversee completion.  The work was completed at Kshs. 1,900,000,000/=.

Kenya Pipeline Co. Ltd


Technology Development Centre, Athi River
The Government of the Republic of Korea, through the Export-Import Bank of Korea has provided financial support from the resources of the Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF) for Phase II of Technology Development Centre.
The work involves the development of hostels, dormitories, fitness centre, mechanical workshops, laboratories and associated civil works and supply of equipment. 
The work is under construction and the project value is US$ 10,700,000/=.

Interior Fit-out at Caparo Place, Upper Hill
Renovations and alteration to existing building to create 600 square metres of office space in high standard finishes.  The work is complete at a cost of Kshs. 50,000,000/=.

This is a high income development at Njumbi Road, Lavington, comprising 3No. luxury houses on 31/2 Acre Plot.  The Project is complete, at an estimated cost of Kshs. 100,000,000/=.

Renovations and alterations to create new branch for Co-operative Bank.  The work is at Construction stage at a cost of Kshs. 50,000,000/=

Proposed high end executive apartments on 4 acre plot along state house road for the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).  The works are at design stage with a budget of Kshs. 1,500,000,000/=.

Mixed Development at Kisumu City
The LBDA, a regional development authority have five parcels of land in Kisumu; Lower Kanyakwar – 22 acres, Upper Kanyakwar - 20 acres, Milimani – 4 acres, Migosi – 10 acres and Kibos – 12 acres.

They commissioned our consortium to do a feasibility study to advise on the best investment for the various sites.  We completed the feasibility and advised as follows:

  1. Shopping mall, office block and apartments for Lower Kanyakwar
  2. Five star hotel and apartments for Upper Kanyakwar
  3. Apartment blocks for Milimani and Kibos
  4. Shopping Centre and apartments for Migosi.

The client approved the feasibility and has commissioned our consortium to undertake design and supervision of phase 1, Shopping Mall at Lower Kanyakwar at a cost of Kshs. 2,500,000,000/=.  Phase 1, Shopping Mall has been designed, tendered, awarded and is under construction.
